Hennessey Performance hangs V8 in Ford Bronco

The horsepower adepts of the American Hennessey Performance can not wait to take the Ford Bronco in hand. The car is not even on the market yet when the tuner already gives a digital impression of what it is up to with the reborn off-roader.

Ford breathed new life into the Bronco in the middle of this year. The new Bronco is a direct competitor to the Jeep Wrangler’s car. The Ford is a real off-roader that, like the Wrangler, is laced with historically responsible details. The Bronco comes on the market with a 2.3 Ecoboost four-cylinder and with a 2.7-liter twin-turbo Ecoboost V6. As far as is known, the Bronco will not get an eight-cylinder and that is why the Texas-based Hennessey Performance feels called to come up with a solution.

The company shows an image of what it calls the Hennessey Velociraptor V8 Bronco. The name Velociraptor, a bad-tempered extinct reptile that gained notoriety thanks to the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films, is used by Hennessey Performance for violently modified versions of Ford’s Raptor versions. A Raptor version of the Bronco is not available yet, but that does not stop the Texan tuner from showing what it is up to with the Bronco. The Hennessey Velociraptor V8 Bronco gets a 5.0 V8 with 3.0 liter supercharger that raises the power to 750 hp. That machine is linked to Ford’s well-known ten-speed automatic transmission, Hennessey Performance speaks of a 0-100 time of just 4.5 seconds.

The sniffed Raptor gets a hood with air scoop, special injectors, a modified fuel pump, a heavy exhaust system, bumpers with LED lighting, an off-road chassis, off-road rubber and numerous Hennessey badges. Whoever wants one must act quickly. Hennessey Performance will make a total of 24 copies. The Hennessey Velociraptor V8 Bronco is available with two and four doors.
