0-100 km/h in about 2 seconds
A new candidate presents itself on the stage of the pleasantly crazy EVs. This is the HiPhi A, a 1,305 hp variant of the HiPhi Z that seems to be made to chase the Tesla Model S.
The Tesla Model S Plaid is a truly lightning-fast electric car with its 1,020 hp powertrain. In just 2.1 seconds, the top version of the Model S reaches a speed of 100 km/h and only at 322 km/h does acceleration become a thing of the past. Tesla is not the only manufacturer that supplies an extremely strong and lightning-fast variant of one of its EVs. For example, Lucid has a powerful answer to the Model S Plaid with the Air Sapphire and 1,200 hp, and Porsche will soon release a sporty top version of the Taycan, which will probably have a strong 1,000 hp. Not long ago, Volvo’s sister brand Zeekr showed the 1,265 hp 001 FR and the Chinese HiPhi now comes with a revamped version of the HiPhi Z, which it has baptized HiPhi A.
In mid-October, HiPhi released shadowy images of its superlative HiPhi Z and now it is releasing the first real image of the car into the world. According to its creators, the HiPhi A has 1,305 hp and should be able to accelerate from a standstill to a speed of 100 km/h in just over 2 seconds. According to HiPhi, its intended top speed is just under 300 km/h.
Does the heavily winged HiPhi A look familiar? That is very possible. AutoWeek was able to show you patent drawings of this fantastic variant of the HiPhi Z more than a year ago. HiPhi describes the A as a ‘next-generation hypercar’ and promises to release more information and more images of it very soon.
