Techzle can show you exclusive patent plates of a mysterious new model from the barely known but promising manufacturer HiPhi. We are aiming for a study model that will eventually lead to a production model.

HiPhi is a brand of the Chinese manufacturer Human Horizons that is not active in Europe. It kicked off HiPhi in 2019 and immediately showed its first study model, the HiPhi 1. A year later, the first production model from HiPhi, derived from the HiPhi 1, was presented, the HiPhi X. The HiPhi X does not seem to be the only car from HiPhi. HiPhi, because these patent plates show a second car of the brand.

The as yet unnamed newcomer from HiPhi in these photos seems to be still a concept car. Just like the conceptual precursor of the HiPhi X, the car has various external frosting that can be easily removed for a possible production version. Think of the groove on the flank, the mainly black hood and the very exuberantly designed wheels. It is striking that the windows, with the exception of the rear window, of HiPhi’s new model appear identical to those of the already known X. This indicates that the car shares its basis and therefore technology with that type. HiPhi’s second model therefore seems to be a flatter and therefore more ‘coupé-like’ version of the HiPhi X.

HiPhi X (2020)

If the technology of the final production version of this unnamed HiPhi will match that of the HiPhi X, then the Chinese consumer can count on a model with a 96 kWh battery pack and rear and four-wheel drive versions. The fastest HiPhi X rumbles to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The most economical variant achieves a NEDC range of 630 kilometers. HiPhi stuffs the HiPhi X with software and hardware that should make autonomous driving (level 4) possible. People with ‘Big Brother’ fears should leave it alone. Human Horizons proudly reports that both the occupants and the environment of the SUV are monitored with the help of no fewer than 562 sensors.
