Honda has pulled the curtain on the first new Integra in more than 15 years. Unfortunately, the new Integra is less new and, above all, less unique than you might think.
In the Netherlands, the last Honda Integra left the factory gates in 2001, but in Japan and the United States, where the coupé was traded as an Acura RDX since 2001, the last generation Integra was allowed to go until 2006. The Honda Integra and the Acura-lined version in the United States were virtually identical, but the new Integra is slightly different. Acura comes next with a sleek five-door liftback called Integra, while Honda now presents its own four-door Integra in China.
Honda Civic Sedan (2021 – )
Admittedly, the appearance of this new Honda Integra will probably no longer surprise anyone. Earlier we were able to show you the car and from that moment it was certain that the reborn Integra would be less exciting than you would expect based on its rich model history. Indeed, the new Honda Integra is just the sedan version of the new Honda Civic, but with a modified front and a different rear. The complete windows correspond to those of the Civic Sedan and the car length of 4.69 is close to that of the four-door Civic. Honda gives the Integra of the Civic deviating, flatter headlights, sharper drawn copies in which a nod has appeared near the grille. Honda gives the Integra its own bumper work and a rear with a different tailgate and modified taillights.

Fun fact: The Honda Integra in these photos will be manufactured and run by GAC Honda, one of Honda’s two partnerships in China. Honda’s second joint venture is called Dongfeng-Honda. The model range of these two Honda departments partly consists of overlapping cars that differ from each other only in terms of appearance and naming. For example, Dongfeng Honda sells the CR-V, but GAC Honda this optically slightly different Breeze. The Dongfeng Honda-lined Accord is called an almost identical Inspire brother at GAC Honda, the UR-V is called GAC Honda Avancier, the Vezel (previous HR-V) at GAC Honda XR-V and goes by the Dongfeng Honda sold as Crider. compact sedan at GAC Honda as Envix through life. For the time being, the Civic Hatchback and Sedan were only on the menu at Dongfeng Honda and that is the direct reason that GAC Honda comes with this Integra.
