Honda SUV e: Prototype is electric HR-V

Honda is coming out in Shanghai with a fully electric SUV and a plug-in hybrid version of the Breeze that is not available here. The electric SUV is currently only intended for the Chinese market, but has an interesting appearance.

Honda unveiled the SUV e: Concept in September last year, a first preview of Honda’s first electric car for the Chinese market. Indeed, the first. After all, the compact Honda E is not for sale. This SUV e: Prototype, a more production-ready version of the SUV e: Concept, now shines on the Shanghai exhibition floor.

Anyone who knows Honda a little knows that concept cars with the word ‘Prototype’ in their name are almost completely ready for production and are therefore hardly modified. This seems positive for the production version of the SUV e: Prototype. The car has a fairly dense nose with flat headlights with wide led tails at the top. Anyone who still has the new HR-V in mind, will of course just see the fully electric version of that car on his screen. It is not yet known whether the fully electric version of that HR-V will also come to Europe.

Honda is also taking a plug-in hybrid version of the Breeze to the Shanghai Motor Show. The Breeze is basically the CR-V that the GAC-Honda joint venture has in China. Technical specifications of that car, just like the SUV e: Prototype, are unfortunately not yet known.
