One of the things we look forward to is that more manufacturers want to release a foldable smartphone this year. Honor has now officially announced that it will launch the Magic V on January 10. We already get to see a teaser video that tells us more about the design. The Magic V is made according to the well-known concept of the Galaxy Z Fold 3: namely a phone with a smaller screen on the outside and a large main screen that you can open. We can already see that the smaller cover screen has a selfie camera in the middle.
High-end specifications
According to recent information from the Chinese rumor propagator Digital Chat Station Honor releases its foldable with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The device can charge with a 66W fast charger and it works with Android 12.
We also already know that the camera will get three lenses on the back, one of which should be a 50 MP main camera. It is not known how big the screens of this phone are, but the cover screen and main screen come with a 120Hz and 90Hz refresh rate respectively.
Also outside of China?
The Honor Magic V is expected to initially launch in its home country of China, but the former subsidiary of Huawei may be bringing the device to more markets later. Although it is doubtful that this phone will officially come to the Netherlands. Honor currently seems to be targeting other European countries first.
