Quickly access other Google services via Gmail or Photos or other Google websites via the icon with the nine squares.
Google menu for apps
It does not matter which Google program you are working on on the computer. Whether it’s Photos, Gmail or Calendar, there’s always an icon with nine squares or dots (depending on the browser) at the top right. This button quickly opens other Google websites such as Gmail, the search engine google.com or Google Drive. In addition to these well-known programs, there are a lot of relatively unknown apps such as Google Books, Drive or Arts & Culture. Put the most important or most used at the top to be able to switch quickly.
Switch between apps
Easily open another Google app. Do this like this:
- Surf to a Google page such as Google.com or Gmail.com.
- Click on the icon with nine squares or dots in the top right corner.
- A window opens. Click on the app you want to open, for example photos.
Moving apps
Open apps faster? Put the most important at the top. This is how it works:
- Click on the icon with nine squares or dots in the top right corner.
- Click on the app you want to move and hold down the mouse button.
- Drag the app to the right place and release the mouse button.
The app is now in the chosen location. Move all the apps you want within reach this way.
