The mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid and natural gas version of the Skoda Octavia can be ordered immediately. Specifications and prices follow below.
After the petrol versions, the showroom introduction of the Skoda Octavia with alternative engines will follow in early 2021. You can order these immediately from Skoda dealers. All variants are available as an Octavia hatchback, most also as an Octavia Combi station wagon. Prices can be found at the bottom of this article.
Mild hybrid Octavia
For the first time, Skoda offers a mild hybrid (‘MHEV’) model, the 1.0 TSI e-TEC DSG. Features include the availability of an extra boost during acceleration and the reduction of fuel consumption and emissions. For example, you can save up to 0.4 l / 100 km by ‘coasting’ with the petrol engine switched off. The 110 hp one-liter petrol engine is supported for this by a 48V electrical system with belt-driven starter / alternator. In addition, the powertrain consists of a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission with double clutch and a start / stop system. At the beginning of 2021, another mild hybrid will follow, with a 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine.

Plug-in hybrid Octavia
The Octavia Plug-in Hybrid 1.4 iV DSG has a minimum fuel consumption (average 1.0 l / 100 km) and an electric range of up to 60 km (both according to the WLTP test). The system power is 204 hp, the torque 250 Nm. The battery capacity is 13 kWh. A 6-speed DSG is standard. For the time being, the ‘PHEV’ is only available in Business versions.
Octavia on natural gas
Business drivers can also order a natural gas (CNG) Octavia hatchback, the 1.5 TSI G-Tec DSG. Three filled CNG tanks together provide a range of 500 km. If there is no natural gas filling station nearby, you can extend the range by up to 190 km thanks to the reserve 9-liter petrol tank (WLTP figures). The average consumption figure of 5.8 m3 / 100 km results in CO2 emissions that are 25 percent lower than those of the petrol engines. Less soot particles and nitrogen oxides are also released.
