It feels like it hasn’t been there that long, but the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been secretly with us for two and a half years. That means that behind the scenes work is already underway on an updated version and it is that facelifted Hyundai Ioniq 5 that can be seen for the first time on these spy pictures.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is far from old-fashioned, but has been among us since the beginning of 2021. More than regularly, models are facelifted about three to four years after their market introduction, so it is not very surprising that Hyundai has already started testing with the refreshed Ioniq 5.
This captured test specimen is still very fanatically in the camouflage stickers. The black material has been applied so enthusiastically that there are hardly any visual novelties to be seen. The rear bumper seems to be getting a new shape and undoubtedly the bumper work on the front is also subtly overhauled. You can also count on refreshed lighting, although the Koreans do not completely ban the characteristic pixel lighting.

It is not yet known what Hyundai has in store for the Ioniq 5 on a technical level. We do not expect the updated Hyundai Ioniq 5 to hit the market before the second half of next year.
