Hyundai has reached a new sales milestone with the Kona Electric: it sold its 100,000th unit!
The Kona Electric seems to be a hit for Hyundai: a compact SUV with a very useful range. More people have thought that, because Hyundai has managed to sell its 100,000th copy. It took the South Koreans about two and a half years to reach this milestone.
In the Netherlands, 14,599 Kona’s have been sold since the end of 2017. However, this includes all variants, from regular petrol versions to hybrids and the fully electric Kona Electric. Exact sales figures for the Kona Electric are not there, but according to Kentekenradar.nl This year, 50.3 percent (1,042 copies) of the cases involved a Kona Electric. After that, people most often opt for a hybrid (33.2 percent), followed by a Kona on petrol (16.5 percent).
