Hyundai Staria Kinder: is a stubborn school bus

A new month, a new variant of the new Hyundai Staria. This phenomenon will of course not last forever, but it does apply for the time being. Hyundai is introducing a school bus based on the stubborn Staria.

In September we discussed the only Australian marketed Hyundai Staria Load, a delivery version of the Staria passenger bus, which is bareer than Humberto Tan’s skull roof and significantly less shiny. The Hyundai Staria Kinder in this article, as the addition to its model name probably indicates, is a school bus based on the same Staria, a company car from Hyundai that, with its Robocop-like front, is designed just as stubbornly as the children who use this Kinder version in this article. Bringing South Korea from A to B will undoubtedly also be possible. Does this article have any kind of relevance for the Dutch market? Well, no, but for the enthusiast of what is happening elsewhere in the world in the car field and for those who appreciate the Staria just like us, it hopefully offers interesting reading and viewing material.

The Hyundai Staria is available as a passenger version with seven and eleven seats. The Staria Kinder you see in these photos can accommodate 11 or as many as 15 school goers. Hyundai takes into account the limited size of the main passengers of the Staria Kinder and gives each seat height-adjustable belts. Hyundai also packs the school bus version of the Staria with almost all safety systems that it can provide in the bus. The Staria Kinder has Fordward Collision Prevention Assist, Lane Departure Prevention Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Rear Cross Collision Prevention Assist.

Hyundai gives the Staria Kinder, among other things, a double set of warning lamps on the roof and provides the bus with a fold-out warning sign to alert other traffic to its presence and that of its valuable cargo when passengers get in and out. In all cases, the Staria Kinder Load has a 3.5 V6 under the hood that, in addition to petrol, also likes LPG. The 11-seater Staria Kinder costs about €25,150 in South Korea. For the version with 15 seats, Hyundai asks about €27,050.
