IKEA has announced the new Bluetooth speaker lamp VAPPEBY. The VAPPEBY can be used both indoors and outdoors. The speaker is splash-proof and the first Bluetooth speaker with Spotify Tap on the market.

The newest member of IKEA’s series of Bluetooth speakers is VAPPEBY. VAPPEBY is a portable loudspeaker lamp suitable for outdoor use. Thanks to the built-in lamp, you can conveniently use the smart device for your garden parties or dinners on the balcony.
The speaker is rechargeable, has a built-in LED lamp with two different light modes and provides 360-degree sound. The battery of the new speaker lamp lasts up to 12 hours and the device can be charged via the USB-C cable.
IKEA has the shape of a lamppost and thanks to the grip-friendly handle you can easily take the speaker everywhere. To ensure that the speaker also does its job when the weather does not cooperate, IKEA has added an IP65 rating. The speaker lamp is therefore resistant to dust and water splashes.
Spotify Tap
It’s easy to play your favorite music from Spotify on VAPPEBY. Press the power button on the speaker and your music will start streaming from where you left off. Not in the mood for that song? Then press the button again and the speaker lamp will play another song for you.
