The Korean brothers Kia Picanto and Hyundai i10 do not dance to the same measure. Where the Picanto was completely renewed three years ago, Hyundai only added a completely new i10 to its delivery range only last year. The Picanto has a few years more experience and is logically facelifted a lot earlier. These are the first photos of that renewed city breaker.
Although, the first photos … technically that is not entirely true. Pictures of a packed test copy of the renewed Picanto have already surfaced, but we have never seen the car completely stripped of its camouflage suit.
The facelifted Picanto, or Morning as the car is called in South Korea, gets revised headlights in which four LED elements determine the image. The shape of the grille remains intact, although Kia provides the slot housed between the headlights with a chrome-colored frame and two chrome-colored strips. Lower on the nose we see a modified bumper, a copy with new large openings on both sides and two chrome-colored elements on the bottom.
At the back we also see adapted light units, LED copies with a recognizable light signature. We also notice a modified bumper at the bottom of the rear, a copy that, just like the front bumper, has the two chrome-colored elements. Incidentally, these images are probably a GT-Line designed Picanto, do not be surprised if less richly decorated copies are less eccentric.
More later this year!
