Infiniti, which has left Europe since the beginning of this year, has big news in the development chambers for at least the American market. The brand announces the QX60 Monograph, a preview of a brand new SUV.
Infiniti is no longer active on our continent since this year due to marginal European success. In the United States, among others, the luxury division of Nissan can still be found, but Infiniti can also use a sales boost there. Based on the QX50 presented in 2017, the brand will shortly come up with a coupé derivative: the QX55. But there’s more, according to a brand new teaser released by Infiniti today.
Infiniti says on September 25 that it will digitally remove the canvas from the QX60 Monograph. Anyone who has followed the Infiniti news closely in recent years will know that the Monograph designation is reserved for relatively production-ready study models. The QX60 Monograph is, according to Infiniti, a preview of a completely new QX60. That model name is relatively unknown to us Europeans, but the model has been around for a while. In the United States, Infiniti has been supplying the QX60 for years. The model was launched in 2012 as JX35, but was renamed QX60 a year later. The current QX60, which is still for sale, is on an extended version of the platform that Nissan used under the penultimate Murano. A big difference from the QX50: the QX60 is a seven-seater with three rows of seats and the new QX60 also follows that concept.
