Into the jungle with a Maybach? You can with this Project Maybach in Camel Trophy colors

Design joke from Maybach. The even more luxurious division of Mercedes has presented an all-terrain vehicle with clear Camel Trophy vibes. The 6-meter-long beast is simply called Project Maybach and is the result of a collaboration with a fashion designer.

The Project Maybach is a massive GT with off-road capability. With its length of 6 meters, it is about 50 centimeters longer than a Mercedes-Maybach S-class. It was designed by Daimler design director Gorden Wagener and fashion designer Virgil Abloh, who died of cancer last weekend at the age of 41. The Project Maybach is fully electric. There are solar panels on the long hood that help recharge the battery.

With the Project Maybach you can enjoy nature in peace and comfort

The body color, large balloon tires and roof rack are reminiscent of the Camel Trophy, an off-road event held between 1980 and 2000 with Land Rovers and Range Rovers. With the Project Maybach, Wagener and Abloh wanted to investigate how you can go into wild nature in peace, luxury and comfort. We probably don’t need to say that this giga-offroader will never go into production.
