WWDC 2022 is coming and on June 6, the company will unveil iOS 16, the major iPhone software update of this year. Well-known Apple analyst Mark Gurman says he expects in his most recent newsletter.
According to him, notifications in iOS 16 get ‘major improvements’. In addition, new health features are also being added. Gurman also said that he has no other expectations for a really major redesign of iOS 16.
Expectations iPadOS 15: Update for Multitasking
Gurman does think that multitasking on an iPad will get an update. Since iPadOS 15, multitasking on the iPad has gotten a lot better. There are no further expectations for iPadOS 16 at this point, and as with iOS 16, there will likely be no major redesign.
WatchOS 9: More Health and Sports Features
Gurman also briefly touched on the Apple Watch. He expects watchOS 9 to receive some improvements in the field of health and sports functions. He previously said that this time we can probably expect three new models of the Apple Watch Series 8.
WWDC 2022 Expectations: Updates to iOS 16 and More
WWDC is a conference for app developers, where software is always central. The event will kick off on June 6 with an online keynote. During this presentation, expectations for iOS 16, macOS 14, watchOS 9, tvOS 16 and iPadOS 16 are high. The rest of the event is dominated by online workshops for developers, lectures and digital drinks.
