iOS 18.4 brings these 4 functions to your iPhone

If you have installed the beta of iOS 18.4, then you know about what to expect. This overview is therefore mainly for anyone who currently has iOS 18.3.2 installed.

1. New buttons for soothing music

iOS 18.4 brings a whole new part for soothing background music (Ambient Music) to the operating panel of your iPhone. Here you will soon find the following four buttons:

• Sleep (Sleep)
• Relaxed (chill)
• Productivity (productivity)
• Well -being (Wellbeing)

With each of these buttons you can quickly start an Apple Music playlist that fits your mood. You can also assign the buttons to the action button or the lock screen.

2. New emoji

iOS 18.4 brings seven new emoji to your iPhone. The emoji of a face with ramparts under the eyes is probably the most striking, but these are all seven emoji you can expect:

• A fantastic
• A face with bags under the eyes
• A fingerprint
• A tree without leaves
• A root vegetable
• A harp
• A shovel

3. Priority notifications (Apple Intelligence)

Although we still cannot use in the Netherlands Apple IntelligenceLet’s see a new AI function that appears in iOS 18.4, namely Priority Notifications. This is a function that automatically shows your most important notifications and that you can manage in the Settings app. Apple describes Priority Notifications as follows:

“Apple intelligence can show you notifications that may be important in a separate section on the lock screen, so you can catch up on what you may have missed. You can still swipe up to view all notifications.”

Release iOS 18.4
