Screen time code notifications for parents
With effect from iOS 18.5 and iPados 18.5, parents and guardians receive a notification when a child has correctly entered the access code for screen time. This informs you that the screen time code is known to the user.
That is essential, because the locking code can ensure that screen time is bypassed or extra time is released to maintain access to apps. In this way a child can lift a block and the usefulness of screen time is superfluous.
Receiving this notification is automatically activated when the devices of both the parent and the child have been updated to iOS 18.5, iPados 18.5, macOS 15.5 or newer.
Disable screen time code notifications
Do you not want to receive notifications when your child has correctly entered the screen time code? Then you can disable this as a parent/guardian via Settings â–¸ Screen time â–¸ Name of your child â–¸ Manage Screen time â–¸ Adjust notifications â–¸ Switch off ‘Screen time access code’.
