Apple has released iOS 26.1 beta 1, only a week after the launch of iOS 26 – this is all new in the updated version!
iOS 26.1 Beta is out
The biggest changes in iOS 26.1 Bèta are AirPods Live translation and Apple Intelligence. Apple has expanded both functions and added support for new languages.
New languages for Apple Intelligence
With the arrival of iOS 26.1 Bèta, Apple Intelligence is finally available in Dutch! Other languages that are now supported by AI are Danish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (traditional) and Vietnamese.
New languages for AirPods Live translation
AirPods Live translation works in iOS 26.1 Beta with extra languages, including Japanese, Korean, Italian and Chinese (both traditional and simplified mandarin).
Other changes
In addition to the new languages for Apple Intelligence and AirPods Live translation, there are even more changes in the latest beta version of iOS 26. We list the most important thing for you:
Apple Music
You can now wipe the music player in Apple Music to change songs. Wipe your finger over the title of the song to go to the next or previous song.
Telephone app
The telephone app’s keyboard now uses Liquid Glass for the numbers.
Photos app
The scrolling bar for scrolling through a video in the photos app has been updated. The beam also has a slightly more matte appearance, making it more visible on light backgrounds.
Agenda
In the agenda app, events from different agendas are now displayed in some views with a colored background.
Safari
The tabbeam below in Safari is wider and has less filling on the edges.
iOS 26.1 appears at the end of October
