Apple presents the iPad Pro with the new and powerful M5 chip. The iPad Pro retains its slim design and the real innovation is on the inside. Thanks to the impressive performance of the M5 processor, the iPad Pro is faster than ever with powerful graphics performance.
The 2025 edition of the iPad Pro continues the recent design with an extremely thin chassis and a choice of an 11- or 13-inch OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of brightness. Compared to the previous model, the M5 chip is the only real innovation.
Ultra-thin design with OLED
The iPad Pro with M5 chip retains the sleek and thin design of its predecessor, with an aluminum casing that is available in silver and space black. The device appears in two sizes: an 11-inch and a 13-inch version, both equipped with an Ultra Retina XDR display with tandem OLED technology that combines the light from two OLED panels. This ensures a high brightness of maximum 1000 nits at full screen and a peak brightness of 1600 nits with HDR content.

The resolution is 2752 x 2064 pixels (13-inch model) or 2420 x 1668 pixels (11-inch model), both with a pixel density of 264 ppi. The display supports ProMotion technology with an adaptive refresh rate from 10 Hz to 120 Hz, wide color gamut (P3), True Tone, a fully laminated screen, anti-reflective coating and optional nano-textured glass for models with 1 TB or 2 TB storage.
Powerful M5 chip
The M5 chip in the new iPad Pro is the latest generation of Apple Silicon, specially designed to deliver high performance and efficiency. Manufactured with an advanced 3-nanometer process, the chip has a 9-core CPU, consisting of 3 high-performance cores and 6 energy-efficient cores, offering 12 to 15 percent faster performance than the previous M4 chip.
GPU performance has been significantly improved because each GPU core is equipped with Neural Accelerators, allowing iPad Pro to perform better than ever when processing AI models on the device.

Thanks to the M5 chip, the iPad Pro has great computing power and can complete professional tasks in no time. Below are the specifications of the processor:
- Models with 256 GB or 512 GB storage:
- 9-core CPU with 3 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores
- 10-core GPU
- Neural Accelerators
- Ray tracing with hardware acceleration
- 16-core Neural Engine
- 153 GB/s memory bandwidth
- 12GB RAM
- Models with 1 TB or 2 TB storage:
- 10-core CPU with 4 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores
- 10-core GPU
- Neural Accelerators
- Ray tracing with hardware acceleration
- 16-core Neural Engine
- 153 GB/s memory bandwidth
- 12GB RAM
Other innovations
