Housing
The first thing you notice when you see the iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro is the housing. The iPhone 15 Pro has titanium sides, which provides a refined look. In addition, they now have a brushed finish. Also nice: the edges around the screen are slightly rounded.
The regular iPhone does not have titanium sides, but it does have rounded corners. They have beautiful pastel shades, unlike the Pro, which looks a bit more businesslike, but more about that later. Both versions of the iPhone have a frosted glass back. The black edges around the screen are somewhat thicker on the iPhone 15.
Camera
The biggest difference is in the camera. The Pro models still have an extra lens. The iPhone 15 now has a 48-megapixel lens, just like the Pro. You can optically zoom in twice on the iPhone 15, but on the iPhone 15 Pro it is three times (the iPhone 15 Pro Max can even zoom in five times).
There are some more differences between the cameras. For example, on the Pro models you can set the standard lens of the main camera yourself. You can then set the focal lengths of the camera. In addition, functions such as ProRAW, macro mode and the LiDAR scanner remain only for the Pro models.
Storage
There are also differences between the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro in terms of storage. The iPhone 15 is available with 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. The iPhone 15 Pro too, but there is also a version with 1 TB for sale. The Pro Max starts at 256 GB of storage.
Battery life
Both devices do not differ much from each other in terms of battery life. According to Apple, you can play 15 to 20 hours of video on the iPhone. On the Pro it is 23 hours. Do you watch a lot of videos? Then you’re better off buying a Pro. Do you listen to a lot of audio? Then you might be better off buying the iPhone 15 (or iPhone 15 Plus). This allows you to play up to 80 hours of audio, while the Pro can ‘only’ 75 hours.
USB-C connection
Both iPhones now have a USB-C connection. The USB-C port on the iPhone 15 is just as fast as USB 2 (up to 480 Mb/s). That of the iPhone 15 Pro has the speed of USB 3.0 (up to 10 Gb/s).
Chip
There are also differences with the chip. The iPhone 15 has the A16 Bionic chip. This is also in the iPhone 14 Pro (Max). This chip has:
- 6-core CPU with 2 performance and 4 efficiency cores;
- 5-core GPU;
- 16-core Neural Engine.
The iPhone 15 Pro has received a brand new chip. This is the A17 Pro chip. This chip has the following specs:

To colour
There are significant differences in the colors. For example, the iPhone 15 Pro is available in black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium and natural titanium. The colors of the iPhone 15 are a bit more cheerful. You can choose from: black, blue, green, yellow and pink.
Action button
One of the features that the iPhone 15 does not have is the action button. Instead of the mute button, the iPhone 15 Pro has an action button. This allows you to attach your own command to the button, such as turning off the sound, turning on a focus, starting the camera and more. But you can also attach your own Assignments to it.
Price
Perhaps one of the most important differences between the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro is the price. The iPhone 15 costs 969 euros and the Phone 15 Pro can be purchased from 1229 euros. Both models come with 128 GB of storage.
