The iPhone 14 is actually only just in the shops, but rumors about the iPhone 15 are already appearing. For example, the iPhone 15 does not get a Touch ID under the screen.
iPhone 15 won’t get Touch ID
This rumor comes from Bloomberg’s usually reliable Mark Gurman. In its latest Power On Newsletter he indicates that although Apple has tested Touch ID under the screen in recent years, we do not see this function in the iPhone 15.

Gurman writes in his newsletter: “For the past few years, Apple has been planning to bring Touch ID back to high-end iPhones. The company has tested Touch ID under the screen and even considered integrating it into the power button. Right now, I think Face ID is here to stay and that’s why Touch ID won’t be returning to high-end iPhones — at least not anytime soon.”
Touch ID: maybe on the iPhone SE
Gurman also indicates that Touch ID in a new iPhone SE is still possible, according to him. The feature would then be integrated into the power button on the side. At the same time, he has not yet heard that Apple is actually working on that. As a result, it is still unclear whether we can expect the feature on the next iPhone SE.
iPhone 15: all models will get the Dynamic Island
So far we know that all models of the iPhone 15 will get the Dynamic Island, but not all the always-on display. This means that not only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have the Dynamic Island, but also the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

The ProMotion display and therefore the always-on screen is unfortunately reserved for the Pro models. ProMotion was first applied in the iPhone 13 Pro, so it is noteworthy that Apple is still not going to adopt the function in the regular iPhones.
