Custom design on the iPhone 16
The iPhone 16 is coming soon! On monday september 9th Apple unveils the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Rumors predict that Apple will adjust the design of the iPhone this year. The design of the iPhone 16 will therefore be different from what we saw with the iPhone 15. We list the most important changes for you!
iPhone 16 (Plus): new camera island and action button
The iPhone 16 (Plus) sees the first redesign of the camera island in years. Apple opts for two lenses placed directly below each other. The iPhone 15, on the other hand, has a camera island with diagonally placed lenses. The new layout makes it possible to record spatial videos (or 3D videos) for the Apple Vision Pro. The iPhone 15 Pro (Max) already supports this feature.
In addition, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus get the action button, which we already know from the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) and the Apple Watch Ultra (2). Apple is therefore finally saying goodbye to the mutebutton on the iPhone. Apple is reportedly opting for a range of cheerful colours for the design of the iPhone 16. The phone is available in black, green, pink, blue and white.
iPhone 16 Pro (Max): Camera button and larger screens
Apple is releasing the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max with larger screens than we saw with the iPhone 15 Pro (Max). The iPhone 16 Pro gets a 6.3-inch display, with the iPhone 16 Pro Max it is even 6.9 inches. The design is also being adjusted, because the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be the largest smartphone that Apple has ever released. For the smaller formats, you will have to rely on the regular iPhone from this year.
Another design change to the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) is the camera button, which will reportedly be moved to the side, below the lock button. The button will allow for easier access to certain camera functions. It’s unclear whether this feature will be exclusive to the Pro models or will also be coming to the iPhone 16 (Plus). The iPhone 16 Pro (Max) will come in white, gold, black, and titanium gray.
Release of the next iPhone
Furthermore, no major changes are expected in the design of the iPhone 16. The titanium housing of the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is probably finished in a different way. With the iPhone 15 Pro (Max), Apple opted for a brushed finish, the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) gets a polished finish. We previously saw that with the iPhone 14 Pro (Max).
We don’t have to wait much longer for the next iPhone, because the phone will be unveiled next week.
