A new Apple event is coming! Apple has announced the ‘AWE dropping’ event, which takes place on Tuesday 9 September 2025 at 7 p.m. Dutch time. This is the Apple event of the year, where Apple shows the new iPhones and Apple Watches to the general public. That evening we know for sure which devices Apple will be released in September and which functions they will get.
In any case, it is expected that Apple will reveal the iPhone 17 series at the Apple event in September. Traditionally, the new iPhones appear in September, which is probably no different this year. 1. IPhone 17
It is almost certain that Apple presents the iPhone 17 series in September. Apple is again releasing four iPhones, but the line-up looks different than before. All iPhones are provided with a new processor, but that is not the biggest change. The iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max will receive a renewed design, with a much larger camera island. 2. Apple Watches
Where Apple only released the Apple Watch Series 10 in 2024, there are no fewer than three new smartwatches on the schedule this year. According to rumors, Apple presents the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the Apple Watch SE 2025 at the iPhone 17 event. All devices are provided with a new processor and run on Watchos 26. With that software update, Apple Intelligence comes to the Apple Watch for the first time.
The Apple Watch SE 2025 is said to have a completely new design, with a larger screen and a plastic housing. With the Apple Watch Ultra 3 we also see a larger screen, which is similar to the OLED Woothoek display of the Apple Watch Series 10. 3. Other announcements
It is almost certain that the iPhone 17 series and the new Apple Watches from 2025 will be presented in September. Possibly that is not all, because Apple works on many more products in the background. For example, the airtag 2 and the HomePod Mini 2 are also expected soon. Both devices receive small hardware improvements in the form of a new processor.
