According to different rumors, it seems that the design of the iPhone 17 Pro will change. But what is and what is not?
iPhone 17 Pro design: These are the changes
More and more rumors say that the iPhone 17 Pro will get some changes to the design. For example, we already saw renders from the iPhone 17 Pro with a new camera island and the device would also get a kind of two-tone design.
Usually reliable Apple connoisseur Mark Gurman is now making a contribution about the new appearance of the iPhone 17 Pro. According to him, the design is not going to change enormously. In his newsletter he wrote that he does not expect a ‘striking new look’. According to him, the front of the iPhone 17 Pro even looks a lot like those of the iPhone 16 Pro.
Previous rumors said the Dynamic Island (the black bar at the top of the iPhone screen) would be a lot smaller. But after Gurman’s words this also doesn’t seem to happen.
Gurman also said that the camera island on the back of the iPhone will look a ‘piece differently’. But it is still a while to wait how much the camera island will look like that of the renders.
Some rumors also say that the iPhone will get a kind of two -tone design at the back. The camera island is then black on a generally white iPhone. According to Gurman, this is not going to happen. According to him, the camera island gets the same color as the rest of the iPhone.
Small changes, with a new camera island
So it seems that the design of the iPhone 17 Pro is not going to be a very big change. But due to the new camera island, the iPhone 17 Pro does get a slightly different look.
The iPhone 17 Pro will appear together with the iPhone 17 models in September of 2025. Then we really know for sure what the new design of the iPhone 17 Pro will be.
