It has been clear for some time that Apple is working on a new generation of the iPhone SE. The phone is reportedly receiving a major update, because the device adopts the design of the iPhone 14. This means that Apple is finally saying goodbye to the home button with Touch ID and the mute switch, making way for Face ID and the action button. It now appears that Apple is considering releasing the iPhone SE 4 in two sizes.
New iPhone SE dummies have surfaced, giving us a better idea of the device’s dimensions. It is notable that the dummies have two sizes, so we may also see an iPhone SE 4 Plus. The small dummy has a height of 146.7 millimeters, width of 71.5 millimeters and depth of 7.8 millimeters. That is exactly the same size as the iPhone 14, but there may also be a larger variant.
iPhone SE 4 Plus unlikely
The iPhone SE 4 Plus has the same dimensions as the iPhone 14 Plus with a 6.7-inch display. If the rumors are true, the next iPhone SE will have a choice of a 6.1 and a 6.7-inch screen. That is a big step, because the current generation of the iPhone SE still has a 4.7-inch display. Yet it is anything but certain that the iPhone SE 4 will be released in two versions next year.
Apple often tests different dimensions for new devices. It is quite possible that the iPhone SE 4 Plus was an option for the company, but was dropped at a later stage. There have been virtually no rumors about it, making it unlikely that the iPhone SE 4 will be available in two sizes. Instead, Apple will probably opt for the smaller version with the 6.1-inch display.

It is uncertain whether the iPhone SE 4 will appear in two sizes, but the dummies do confirm a number of other rumors. They have one lens, probably the same 48-megapixel camera that we see on the iPhone 15. The iPhone SE 2022 still has a 12-megapixel camera, so you can take much sharper photos and videos with the new generation.
Furthermore, the iPhone SE 4 reportedly runs on the A18 chip, just like the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus. With this processor, the phone has support for Apple Intelligence. That’s good news, because you no longer have to pay top dollar to gain access to the latest AI functions.
