When an email arrives in your mailbox, you have no influence on it. What you do have influence on is the moment at which you want to deal with this email. This iPhone setting is therefore the best kept secret of the Mail app.
You are probably inundated with notifications from one email after another that has reached your inbox. Chances are you feel the pressure to read the message as quickly as possible and maybe even respond. Thanks to the next iPhone feature, you don’t have to.
The iPhone’s best-kept Mail secret
On your iPhone, it is possible to set up email reminders within the Mail app. It is therefore very similar to Spark’s snooze function. This allows you to tell your smartphone that you want to be reminded of the email at a later time. This can be in an hour, for example, but also in a few days or a week. You can even choose your own time.
Setting up this function is very easy. You open the Mail app on your iPhone and swipe to the right at the email you want to add a reminder to. Tap Reminder, then choose when you want to receive the reminder.
Does Reminder not appear when you swipe from left to right on an email? You may have changed these settings at some point. However, you can easily reset this.

Go to your iPhone’s settings and tap Mail. Under the Message List heading you will find Swipe Options. Tap this and then customize the actions for swiping left or right.
If you have already opened the email, you can also set a reminder. Then tap the icon with the arrow at the bottom of the screen and then choose Reminder. Now choose a time that suits you again.
