1. View your Spotify Daylist
We’ll start with a feature you may have heard of: Daylist. This is a playlist that Spotify creates especially for you, based on the music you normally listen to at certain times of the day.
The list should appear under the heading ‘Especially for you’, but that is not the case for everyone. Is the Daylist not there yet? Then you have to look for it. The quickest way to do this is as follows:
- Open the Spotify app;
- Tap ‘Search’ at the bottom;
- In the search field type ‘daylist’;
The first search result is your current Daylist. Do you like a Spotify Daylist? Then you can also save it to listen to later. Spotify updates the list several times a day, so you can quickly build up a whole collection of new playlists.

2. Share playlists via AirDrop
Many people know that you can share a song via AirDrop. That you can also put together a playlist with someone else. But it is less known that if you have put together a great playlist, you can also share it in one go. It works like this:
- Open the Spotify app;
- Tap ‘Library’ at the bottom;
- Find the playlist you want to share and tap it;
- Tap the three dots and tap ‘Share’.
The easiest thing to do now is to tap ‘More’ and choose ‘AirDrop’. But sharing via WhatsApp is of course also possible.

3. Change playback speed
Songs that are played at speed are extremely popular on TikTok. You can also do this in Spotify with the following trick. However, this is not possible in the Spotify app on your iPhone, but in the Chrome browser on your Mac.
To start with you have the Spotify Playback Speed Chrome extension necessary. Once you have added that plug-in to your Chrome browser, go to https://open.spotify.com. Log in there with your Spotify account. When you play a song there, you will now see the option to adjust the Playback Speed. You can choose anything between 0.5x and 2.0x, and the ‘Preserve Pitch’ option determines whether the pitch moves with the speed or not.

If you have had enough, set the slider back to 1.0x!
4. Widget last played artist or playlist
Want quick access to the songs you last played? Then try putting a Spotify widget on your home screen. You can choose from a single widget, or a more extensive widget that looks a little further back. Adding the widget is so easy that it is useful to use it temporarily. It works like this:
- Long press the Spotify icon on the home screen;
- In the quick menu, choose the desired widget.
The single widget shows the last played artist. The more extensive widget also does that, but below it shows four more artists and/or playlists that you have previously played. With a single tap you go straight there.

If you prefer to have a Spotify icon on your home screen again, you can adjust it again just as easily.
5. Eating this playlist
Have you created a playlist that you no longer need? Then you can of course delete it in one go. But Spotify also gives you the opportunity to play a game with it. The game is called: ‘Eat this playlist’. This is how it works:
- Open the Spotify app;
- Tap ‘Library’ at the bottom;
- Choose the desired playlist;
- Tap the three dots and scroll down;
- Tap ‘Eat this playlist’.
