Hide AirTag in your plant pot

It was already clear that you can use an AirTag in many different ways. During your holiday you put the tracker in your suitcase, so you always know where your luggage is. Once you’re back home, hang the AirTag back on your keys or hide it in your car. An option has now been added, because you can also hide the AirTag in a plant pot.

Do you have plants in your front yard? Then of course there is a risk that the plant will be stolen, especially if it is in a pot. A solution has now been devised for this, because with a hidden AirTag in the plant pot you can always track the location. Handy if your plants are regularly stolen. That is exactly why an American couple decided to hide an AirTag in one of their plant pots.

Plants stolen from the front yard

Plants disappeared from the front garden of an American couple. Plants with pots were regularly stolen, much to the chagrin of the couple. As a solution, they bought an AirTag, which they then hide in the plant pot. Shortly afterwards it was hit again, because another plant was removed from the front garden.

In the Find My app, the couple saw that the AirTag (and therefore the plant) was at a distance of 2.5 kilometers. Once they arrived at the location, they found a man carrying a cart full of plants. The man claimed that he had not stolen the plants, but the couple had of course found the plant pot with the AirTag that way.

The AirTag is therefore also useful for tracking your plant pots, although it is hoped that you will not need the tracker for that. Are your plants safe? Then you can also hide the tracker in your bike or car, so that you always see the location. Or you attach the AirTag to your pet, for example to your dog’s collar. This way you always keep an eye on the location of your four-legged friend.
