This iPhone looks beautiful, but will soon yield almost nothing. Here’s what you need to know before you run to the store for the latest appliances!
It’s better to leave this iPhone alone if you want to resell it later
The iPhone Air seemed like an interesting choice with its thin, light design. Still, we have to disappoint you if you bought the thinnest iPhone ever. According to a recent study, the resale value of the iPhone Air has already dropped significantly in just ten weeks. In fact, it is even the strongest decline of all iPhones in years.

In one research of the SellCell websiteit can be seen that the iPhone Air has fallen in value by an average of 44.3 percent. This happened quite quickly after launch. Some variants even became slightly less valuable. The iPhone Air with the most storage (1TB) even lost up to 47.7 percent of its value. If you want to resell the iPhone later, that is of course not good news.
Of course, it’s normal for iPhones to lose value as they age. But other devices lose their value a lot less quickly than the iPhone Air. By comparison, the standard iPhone 17 series lost ‘only’ about 34.6 percent over the same period, and previous iPhones even did slightly better on average. Also, the entry-level iPhone 17 Pro Max only had a depreciation of 26.1 percent.
But… secretly it can also be good news. If you are looking for the iPhone Air, you will soon be able to pick it up quite cheaply on the second-hand market. The prices are still a bit on the high side at the moment, but if you are patient they will undoubtedly drop. In any case, keep an eye on our iPhone Air refurbished price comparator. Then you certainly won’t pay too much!
