Significantly cheaper than electric Avenger
Is the Jeep Avenger always electrically powered? In the Netherlands it is for now, but not anymore. AutoWeek can exclusively report that the Jeep Avenger will also be marketed here with a petrol engine.
Do you think the Jeep Avenger is a nice appearance, but you don’t really need a fully electric car? Then you can already order the compact crossover from Jeep in Italy and Poland with the well-known 100 hp version of the 1.2 PureTech petrol engine. That is the well-known three-cylinder that serves in countless other Stellantis products. In the Netherlands, the Avenger has always been an EV, but AutoWeek can report that the Jeep Avenger will soon also be available here with a petrol engine.
The Jeep Avenger with petrol engine cannot yet be found in the Dutch Jeep configurator and on the official price list, but we can already tell you that the Avenger 1.2 PureTech in Altitude version will soon be in the Dutch showrooms. We even know what it will cost. The Jeep Avenger 1.2 PureTech Altitude has a Dutch starting price of €33,850. This makes it significantly cheaper than the electric version. It is available from €39,500 and costs €42,500 as Altitude.
It cannot be ruled out that the Avenger will also be available with the more powerful 130-hp PureTech with eight-speed automatic transmission at a later date.
