Kamergotchi: Which Dutch politician will you take care of?

Sunday with Lubach turns parliamentary elections into a game with Kamergotchi. Which Dutch politician will you take care of?

Kamergotchi is a hit in the App Store

“Kamergotchi, a game for the concerned voter”, is how Zondag met Lubach’s app describes itself. It is no coincidence that the name is very similar to Tamagotchi. In the simple game you are assigned a politician, who you must then take care of. That’s how we got Kees van der Staaij from the SGP who burst out of an egg. A bar at the bottom of the screen that runs from red to green shows how satisfied the politician is with you. You can increase this percentage by giving your Kamergotchi food, attention or knowledge.

Kamergotchi: Which Dutch politician will you take care of?

After a few taps, your mini-politician is fed up and suspends your appointment for six minutes. With speech balloons, the cartoonish figure lets you know what he or she needs most. By meeting these wishes you keep the figure alive, so that the counter at the bottom right of the screen continues to increase.

You also score points for every action you perform, which you can add to your score. In this way, the app compiles a top 50 with the best players. Sunday with Lubach does not give you the choice of a member of parliament. You open an egg and a group leader is chosen at random. If you really do not want to take care of a specific member of parliament, you can neglect him and he will die within 24 hours. Then you get a new egg with a new politician.

Can you keep it up until March 12?

You have until March 12 to keep your Kamergotchi alive. Then the game stops at the same time as the last broadcast of Zondag met Lubach.
