Kawasaki ZX-10RR WSBK-Edition: only for the German market

Kawasaki Germany has expanded the Ninja family with a super-exclusive flagship. The Ninja ZX-10RR WSBK-Edition is not only visually identical to the factory machines of the Kawasaki Racing Team, but has also been tackled under the skin by the experts of the Racing Team at the Kawasaki headquarters in Friedrichsdorf.

Kawasaki ZX-10RR WSBK-Edition: only for the German market

In the golden years of the Supersport era, they probably would have rolled it out all over Europe, but now the German Kawasaki importer’s idea is limited to the German market. And then only for a handful of Kawasaki fans. The Ninja ZX-10RR WSBK-Edition has been put on the market in a very limited edition of only 10 units.

The ZX-10RR is Kawasaki’s homologation model for the Superbike World Championship, with Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes competing in that World Championship. That is to say: the racing version that is derived from the standard version. Or rather, that race version that Kawasaki had wanted to divert from the standard version, because Dorna did not think the adjustments that Kawasaki had made to the block in 2021 were revolutionary enough to allow an increase in the maximum speed.

While Team Green had done a pretty good job: lighter pistons and titanium connecting rods from Pankl Racing Systems and special camshafts, new electronics, a top power of now fat more than the 200 hp that has been held on for years as a ‘gentleman’s agreement,’ front fork legs with DLC coating, optimized suspension and lighter Marchesini rims. Kawasaki Germany has added an Akrapovic rear silencer and a tinted windshield for this WSBK Edition.

The ZX-10RR WSBK-Edition is derived from the 2024 model, and thus features the variable intake system that allows the length of the intake manifolds to be adjusted. Although in order to actually use it, the special optional race kit must be installed, which includes a special wiring harness and a different ECU.

Optically, the ZX-10RR has been transformed into a true WSBK replica by the specialists of the Kawasaki Team. The tank features a plaque with the bike’s unique number, and you also get an exclusive WSBK-Edition box, containing two certificates with the signatures of Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes, a laser-cut glass model, an individual key ring and a i-clip. In addition, you will receive a separate sticker set with the starting numbers 65 from Rea and 22 from Lowes

The Ninja ZX-10RR WSBK Edition is sold at our eastern neighbors for € 33,145, which is slightly more than € 3,000 more expensive than the € 30,045 that has to be paid for a standard ZX-10RR there.
