Kia adds a new variant of the electric Niro EV to its delivery range. We are introduced digitally to the Kia Niro EV Cargo, the second electric van from Kia in the Netherlands.

Wait a second. Second electric delivery van? Yes, of course. Kia already has the e-Soul Cargo in its range and that electric parcel delivery service now gets the Kia Niro EV Cargo alongside it.

The Kia Niro EV Cargo is actually the order version of the electric Niro EV. That means that as part of the conversion kit, Kia expertly pulls the rear seat out of its electric crossover, but finishes things neatly. The conversion comes in two flavours. The Basic Kit brings a coated aluminum load floor and a metal divider and two lashing eyes to the Niro EV. The Prokit goes a little further and brings, among other things, storage compartments under the loading floor and between the front seats and two extra lashing eyes to the electric crossover. Already own a Kia Niro EV? Then you can also have an existing one converted.

The Basic kit costs €1,990, the extensive Prokit costs €2,680. A warranty period of two years applies to both conversion packages. Of course, the Kia Niro EV Cargo also has a 64.8 kWh battery and a 204 hp electric motor. You can travel up to 460 kilometers on one charge.

The Kia Niro EV Cargo can also be ordered in one go and will then cost a minimum of €38,230. That amount is for the DynamicLine versions. There are three other versions, of which the ExecutiveLine is the richest. Because the interior dimensions do not meet the requirements set by the tax authorities for gray license plates, the Niro EV Cargo does not get it either. Of course, this does not matter to the mrb, because this electric orderer is, like all EVs, exempt from this for the time being.
