Kia has released the prices of the new Rio. The hatchback is available from the end of September and has a starting price of just under 20 grand.
In May this year, Kia presented the facelifted Rio to the world. The compact hatchback now has a different nose, with the flatter grille and the modified front bumper determining the image. Bigger news is there under the hood of the Clio and Polo competitor. The Kia Rio gets new engines, 100 hp and 120 hp machines that are linked to a 48v mild-hybrid system. The 100 hp variant is 172 Nm strong, while the 120 hp power source kicks it up to 200 Nm. Another novelty: the iMT gearbox, a manual transmission that disengages from the 1.0’s as soon as the driver releases the accelerator. The revised Rio has a starting price of € 19,995.
For just under 20 grand you will receive the keys to the Kia Rio 1.0 T-GDi MHEV ComfortLine. This version comes standard with the intelligent six-speed manual transmission (iMT). The DCT7 automatic transmission can be ordered in combination with the DynamicLine and DynamicPlusLine versions, equipped with the 120 hp version of the 1.0. The refreshed Rio will be at Dutch dealers at the end of September.
