20 copies added

Koenigsegg says he is quite overwhelmed by the demand for CC850 presented last Friday. It therefore even increases the planned production number.
Koenigsegg’s latest creation was shown on Friday in Monterey, America: the CC850. A car that is strongly reminiscent of the car it once started for the Swedish brand; the CC8S. The CC850 has the 5.0 biturbo V8 heart of the Jesko and that provides an insane 1 horsepower per kilo with E85 petrol. Then it is no less than 1,385 hp strong, while the car weighs exactly 1,385 kilos. A crazy machine, then, with an extremely special automatic transmission that can also be operated as a manual gearbox with clutch. A recipe that apparently appeals to many people, because the CC850 was sold out in no time.
Koenigsegg reports that 20 more than the planned 50 copies are therefore being built. Even 70 units of the Koenigsegg CC850 are not enough, according to founder and boss Christian von Koenigsegg: “The response to the CC850 has been overwhelming. With the building of another 20 CC850s we are not even close to the demand. …” Von Koenigsegg, 50, is almost silent: “We are humbled and grateful for the response and will do our utmost to exceed expectations.”
