Lamborghini Huracan STO Time Chaser

Lamborghini is blowing out 60 candles this year. The brand reflects on this by entering into collaborations with artists from the region in the various markets in which it is active. The first result: the Lamborghini Huracán STO ‘Time Chaser_111100’, a one-off designed by a Japanese artist.

Lamborghini will be 60 years old in 2023, which is why the brand is celebrating all year long and all over the world. To do this, the Italians enter into collaborations with artists in each region in which they are active. The first region they do that in is Japan, the first artist is called ‘IKEUCHI’. You may not know him, but he is best known for his electronic-inspired masks.

His work for Lamborghini’s anniversary is also clearly inspired by electronics, which is already apparent from the name of the one off Lamborghini Huracan STO. That is namely ‘Time Chaser_111100’. Why? Well, Lambo’s jubilee motto is ‘The future began in 1963’ and the project the Time Chaser is part of is called ‘Chasing the Future’, hence the first part of the name. The second part represents the number 60, because ‘111100’ means ’60’ in the computer language of ones and zeroes.

Warmers for new Anniversario model?

The result of IKEUCHI’s work is not as repugnant as the masks with which he became known to the artist, because the first Huracán in honor of the anniversary was not dealt with very thoroughly. The largely white STO carries some angular figures on its sheet metal, but otherwise it remained unchanged. The only really unusual thing is the box on the back of the supercar’s engine compartment, which looks a bit like a gaming computer. In the closet we see objects that look like video cards, with miniature hoods of the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Anniversario, the Murciélago Anniversario, the Diablo Anniversario and the Countach Anniversario. The brand made those cars at the 50th, 40th, 35th and 25th anniversary respectively.

An Anniversario model for the 60th anniversary has not yet been announced by the brand, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it does. What will happen to the one-off ‘Time Chaser_111100’ is unknown.
