Lego and cars, it is and remains a magical combination. To promote its Lamborghini Sian to scale, Lego presents a life-size Sián FKP 37. Made of building blocks, of course.
For those who can no longer see the wood for the trees in car land: the Sián was presented in 2019 as a hyper-exclusive hybrid hypercar with V12. The name was later changed to ‘Sián FKP 37’, as a tribute to former Volkswagen Group CEO Ferdinand Karl Piëch.
Lego Technic offers a 1:8 version of this Sián for consumers, but has also once again ventured a life-size copy. The ‘one-off’ was of course created in collaboration with Lamborghini and consists of no less than 400,000 Lego pieces of 154 different types, 20 of which were specially developed for this car.
Down to the last millimeter
According to the makers, the dimensions have been taken from the original to the nearest millimeter. Moreover, the car is largely made up of the hexagonal shapes that belong to Lamborghini’s house style. According to the Danish toy manufacturer, the working headlights and taillights are also built entirely from Lego bricks.
Anyone who thinks to recreate this super-Sián should have a lot of free time and many friends in addition to deep pockets. Lego reports that 15 people spent no less than 8,660 hours on this model.
In the past we have seen more life-sized models of Lego. This often involved hypercars, such as the Bugatti Chiron and the McLaren Senna, but there is also a Volkswagen T2 bus from Lego, for example.
