Lexus will soon introduce a brand new space giant. On April 18, we will be introduced to the brand new Lexus LM, whose model name stands for Luxury Mover. The Lexus LM will not be a large crossover or SUV, but a luxurious MPV with two sliding doors.
The brand new Lexus LM will make its debut at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition that opens its gates next week. Wait a minute, LM? The new? Is there already an LM? Of course. In 2019, Lexus presented the first generation LM in Shanghai, a luxury passenger bus that you should consider Lexus’ version of a Toyota MPV that you don’t know at all in Europe. The Lexus LM is in fact a far-Lexus Toyota Alphard.
Lexus already shows a teaser plate of the new LM and on it we see a completely different D-pillar than on the already existing model. This indicates that the Lexus LM is not just being facelifted, but is undergoing a complete generation change. Undoubtedly, the Alphard can also count on the arrival of a new generation. The current generation Lexus LM (photos 2, 3 and 4) is available in China as a hybrid LM 300h and as a LM 350 with a 3.5 V6 petrol engine. The new LM is also very unlikely to come to the Netherlands.
