Lexus says it has an exciting model in the development rooms that is eager to show its face. A new teaser confirms previous suspicions that Lexus is pouring a spicy spice mix over the IS.
Lexus released a first teaser record last week with which the brand announced the arrival of a sporty model. It would be an F Sport model, a label that Lexus already uses for mainly sporty types. The IS, which was thoroughly facelifted last year and did not appear in Europe, already has an F-Sport version, but it looks like there is more to it.

A fresh teaser photo shows a piece of the door and the rear side window of the sporty Japanese, which is a good indication that we are dealing with the new IS. Exactly what Lexus is planning is still unclear. A full-fledged F-model in the style of the IS F of yesteryear is unlikely. It is quite possible that Lexus has the twinturbo 3.5 V6, known from the LS 500, among others. This ‘IS 5oo’ could function as a sporty top model of the IS range.
However, you don’t have to be in uncertainty for long. Lexus will soon be pulling the curtain on the new F-Sport stunner, which Lexus describes on Twitter as a model that will “grab the world’s attention.” We wait.
