Top pampering has its price
For the second time in a relatively short time, the prices of Lexus’ absolute top model are going up. The starting price of the Lexus LS increases by almost 2 grand, but there are also variants that have become considerably more expensive in absolute terms.
At the end of last year, the prices of the Lexus LS already increased by several thousand euros. Something similar is now happening again. The starting price of the Lexus LS increases by €1,895, with the result that the ‘entry-level version’ Luxury Line is now in the order books for €149,995. However, that is the version whose price increases by the smallest amount. For the LS as Luxury Line AWD you will pay more than 3 grand more than before, but even that is only a small amount of all the price increases.
For example, the price of the LS in the previously F Sport Premium and now F Sport Line versions increases by €5,525. That version in combination with four-wheel drive? Then you are dealing with a price increase of €6,695. The absolute top version Luxury Line AWD records the largest price increase behind its name: €7,635. You do get a little more pampering for your money. For example, the Lexus LS now has a 12.3-inch instead of 8-inch digital instrument cluster.
Regardless of the version, the Lexus LS in the Netherlands always has the 500h hybrid powertrain. It consists of a 299 hp 3.5 V6 petrol engine that is supported by a 179 hp electric motor. The system power: 359 hp. Both the LS 500h with rear-wheel drive and the variants with all-wheel drive sprint to a speed of 100 km/h in about 5.5 seconds and have a top speed of 250 km/h.
