LG smart TVs now have an Apple Music app

Do you have Apple Music and is there an LG television in your living room? Then there’s good news, because the Apple Music app is rolling out to LG smart TVs today.

Apple Music app on LG smart TVs

With the Apple Music app you can access the more than 90 million songs on the LG TV. It’s a full-fledged app, so you can access playlists, radio stations, music videos, and more. LG’s Apple Music app also supports real-time lyrics.

The user interface and functions are almost the same as the Apple Music app for Apple TV, but now you don’t need any external hardware. The Apple Music app is rolling out gradually. To find the app, simply search for ‘Apple Music’ in the LG content store.

LG has not yet announced which models the app is available for. There is, however, a way to check whether your television is compatible. Go to the LG’s Apple Music page, click on ‘Device Compatibility’ and log in with the same account as on your television. You will now see whether your smart TV supports the Apple Music app.

More and more platforms

Apple has been making efforts for some time to bring its services to as many platforms as possible. Previously, the company brought the Apple Music app to the PlayStation and Xbox. The company has also brought Netflix competitor Apple TV+ to smart TVs from LG, Samsung and Sony, as well as the PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

For Apple Music you pay 9.99 per month – just as much as Spotify. You can try the service for free for the first month. You then have access to the 75 million songs, ad-free. Want to know more about the music streaming service? You can read all about it in the following article:
