WWDC 2026 starts today and you can be there live. The event will kick off at Apple Park with a press presentation together with a select number of developers, journalists and students. The remaining days will be held in a virtual format.
At 7:00 PM, Apple will most likely announce iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27 and more. The good news: you don’t have to miss a single moment because you can watch the entire keynote follow live through different channels!
What to expect from WWDC 2026
As every year, the expectations of the Worldwide Developers Conference 2026 are mainly software-oriented. You can expect a lot of new developments in the field of software and all Apple software platforms will have a new design.
According to recent rumors, Apple would like to focus on quality and especially stability with the software updates 27.
With iOS 26, Apple introduced the new Liquid Glass design and many interface changes. Although this brought more dynamics, there were also complaints from users about bugs, unreadable parts and battery problems. With iOS 27, Apple opts for stability. Development teams work to clean up old code, fix bugs, and optimize animations, connection, and battery usage. The goal is to make the system, from older to new iPhones, work faster, smoother and more reliable and to make Liquid Glass better suit the users.
Although on paper iOS 27 is about optimization, artificial intelligence remains the exception. Apple wants to weave AI more firmly into the core of the system: from a much smarter Siri to new options in Photos and Health, among others. Those who had hoped for new products will be disappointed, rumors indicate that no hardware will be announced.
