End for success number

The still quite young Lynk & Co is very successful in the Netherlands with the 01. Despite its popularity, the model has not had a very long life. There will be a replacement next year and that will be a fully electric car.
Lynk & Co is doing good business with the 01, the first and only model that the Chinese brand offers here. In fact, the Lynk & Co 01 settled in 2022 with 5,846 ‘sold’ copies in 8th place in the Dutch sales figures. We put ‘sold’ in quotes because Lynk & Co both sells the 01 separately and offers it for a monthly fee. The car and the subscription form are therefore quite successful, but the curtain is almost falling for the 01. In conversation with Automotive News informs the CEO of Lynk & Co, Alain Visser, that there will be a replacement next year.
Thanks to parent company Geely, that will again be a cousin of a car that we already know. While the Lynk & Co 01 is still closely related to the Volvo XC40, its replacement will probably be a blood relative of the Smart #1, but also of the yet to be revealed Volvo EX30. In that case, the still nameless Lynk & Co seems to be a bit smaller than the 01 and is on Geely’s still quite fresh SEA platform. If the specifications of the Smart #1 are any indication of what to expect, count on a car that puts out about 300 horsepower and has a range of at least 400 km on the WLTP cycle. A more than 400 hp four-wheel drive variant is also possible.
