In China, Geely’s Lynk & Co has finally presented the 08. The Lynk & Co 08 is a new plug-in hybrid SUV that is also very interesting for the European market. Unfortunately, concrete information about its powertrain is not yet available.
Step by step, Lynk & Co released photos of the exterior of the 08, a brand new mid-sized SUV that is also an interesting new model for the European market. On the eve of Auto Shanghai, Lynk & Co has already lifted the 08 onto the podium. We can now also show you its interior. Furthermore, we now know how big it is exactly.
Like the popular 01, the Lynk & Co 08 is on a variant of the CMA platform, which you will also find under the Polestar 2, Volvo XC40, Volvo C40 and a number of other Lynk & Co models (the 02, 03 and 05 ). As its name suggests, the 08 is a lot bigger than those models, although it does have to tolerate the Lynk & Co 09 above it. The 08 measures 4.82 meters in length, is 1.92 meters wide and 1.69 meters high. That makes it more than 30 centimeters longer than the Lynk & Co 01. At 2.85 meters, its wheelbase is a good 10 centimeters longer than that of the 01. The Lynk & Co 08 will have a plug-in hybrid powertrain from Geely’s latest generation. The combustion engine is a blown 1.5, but unfortunately we do not yet know how the electrical part is constructed and what the 08 can do with it.

Lynk & Co gives the 08 a fairly minimalist interior with a 15.4-inch horizontally oriented infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. The Chinese brand also mounts a hefty head-up display in its latest SUV. We are awaiting a response from Lynk & Co about the possible arrival of the 08 in the Netherlands.
