In May, BMW pulled the curtain on the M4 CSL, a version of the M4 that surpasses the M4 and even M4 Competition on several points. It wasn’t enough for Manhart, that the car turns into a blood curdling strong MH4 GTR called monster.

Where the BMW M4 kicks up to 480 hp and the M4 Competition is 510 hp strong, the M4 CSL, limited to 1,000 units, produces no less than 550 hp and 650 Nm from the biturbo 3.0 six-in-line. No reason to complain, you would say. Well, Manhart sees the CSL as the perfect base for even more. It has given the top version of the M4 a major overhaul and it shows.

The normally extra thickly dressed M4 CSL has all kinds of aerodynamic extras as the MH4 GTR. We see thick canards and a more extensive splitter on the front bumper and there are extra carbon fiber fins on the side skirts. The MH4 GTR also has a larger diffuser and a special rear spoiler divided into two parts. All these extras are highlighted in red on the model shown and cannot be missed.

Underneath all that external splendor (or boasting, depending on how you see it) there is technology that fits well with the extra fierce appearance. The 3.0 biturbo six-in-line of the CSL has been tackled very firmly. Thanks to a new engine management, it can generate up to 702 hp and a maximum of 880 Nm of torque. For a bit of visual dressing, the CSL’s extended strut bar has also been painted red. A new stainless steel exhaust system, also available without catalytic converters on request for markets where this is permitted, leads the exhaust gases to the rear with an undoubtedly immense noise. The Manhart MH4 GTR also has height-adjustable springs from Manhart and special 20-inch wheels. In the interior you will find, among other things, new four-point belts and floor mats from the tuner.

It is not yet known what exactly all these adjustments do for the performance of the M4 CSL. Normally, the M4 CSL only needs 3.7 seconds for the o-100 km / h sprint and the top speed is 307 km / h. You can bet that the MH4 GTR comes close to the 3 seconds for the sprint. According to Manhart, you do not necessarily have to arrive with an M4 CSL for the MH4 GTR treatment, but you can also do it with an M4 Competition.
