Maserati Grecale in red in the snow

Maserati Grecale in red in the snow

Now that the introduction of the Maserati Grecale has been postponed, it is important for the Italians to keep their attention for a few more months. This is done, among other things, by showing the compact SUV in a different camouflage print, and under winter conditions.

The Grecale was supposed to be introduced in November, but is now planned for the spring. To ease the pain, we can take a peek with the Maserati test drivers in Lapland. There it is examined whether the car can withstand extreme cold, and how the little brother of the Levante reacts to slippery conditions. The photos show a Grecale wrapped in a similar fashion to before, albeit in red instead of blue.

The MC20-style headlights come into view nicely and are clearly above the large grille placed low in the bumper. The result is somewhat reminiscent of Jaguar’s E-Pace, but is also clearly Maserati thanks to the grille. At the rear we see taillights that, with some fantasy and optimism, are reminiscent of the boomerang shape of the copies on the 3200GT. Maserati has so much imagination, as it turned out with the introduction of similar taillights on the Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante.

The Grecale will in any case be available with a mild-hybrid powertrain as in the Ghibli and Levante, albeit with 300 instead of 330 hp. No doubt there will be other versions, but nothing is officially known about it yet.
