Tuners and subtlety go together like Sigrid Kaag and an Audi Q7 V12 TDI, but Edo Competition proves it doesn’t always have to be so intense. It presents its version of the Maserati MC20, which by nature is not exactly short of power.
The Maserati MC20 is the first truly new sporty Maserati in years. Tuner Edo Competition – who once worked with Maserati on the MC12 Corsa – is now adapting that Italian two-seater with mid-engine, but is holding back quite a bit. The MC20 has a new muffler that it developed together with Capristo Automotive. The Maserati gets new exhaust tips and special 21 and 22-inch light metal. But there’s more.
For example, the power of the 3.0-liter biturbo Nettuno V6 is increased from 630 hp and 730 Nm to 705 hp and 800 Nm. The top speed increases from 325 km/h to 330 km/h. The sprint from standstill to 100 km/h takes 2.9 seconds and remains unchanged.
