In ‘Verstappen – Master of the track’ on Viaplay, Max Verstappen will explain all 22 circuits on the Formula 1 calendar 2022 from today. From a simulator, he drives sim racing in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and America and explains how to master each circuit.

For many Formula 1 enthusiasts, the time has come: next Sunday is the first race and tomorrow the first free practice sessions will start. As is known, streaming service Viaplay has bought the rights of the largest motorsport spectacle and brings many additional broadcasts around Formula 1.
For example, Viaplay today announces ‘Verstappen – Master of the track’: a 22-part series with Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen in the leading role. In 22 episodes, the Dutch superstar explains to Viaplay subscribers all confirmed circuits on the Formula 1 calendar 2022. Verstappen has exchanged the cockpit of his Formula 1 car for a simulator, drives in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and America and explains how to master each circuit.

All episodes of ‘Verstappen – Master of the track’ can be found on the Viaplay platform and can be seen during the previews of the Grands Prix. Max Verstappen: “I look forward with enthusiasm to the start of the new season, in which we will hopefully be able to defend our world title. I think Viaplay viewers can expect a very exciting year. They can prepare for each race weekend and gain some track knowledge by seeing me on the tracks. It was great fun doing the laps on the simulator at Team Redline headquarters. I hope everyone will enjoy all the Formula 1 action.”

Additional Streams
In addition to the regular images of all training sessions, qualifications and races, Viaplay has a lot more in store for its subscribers. For example, in addition to the well-known streams with the pitlane images, the mixed onboards and the driver tracker, three selected onboard streams will also be available during each free practice, qualifying and race. Every weekend the viewer can see every second of Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas on a separate Viaplay stream. In addition, a third onboard stream is available per Grand Prix. This weekend in Bahrain, Lewis Hamilton can be seen on the third onboard stream. The Dutch commentary of Nelson Valkenburg and Melroy Heemskerk can also be heard on both the onboard of Verstappen, the pitlane images and the live timing.

Additional Formula 1 programs
In addition to the extensive studio programming on Saturday and Sunday surrounding qualifying and the race, viewers will also be treated to Formula 1 content from Viaplay during the Grand Prix weekends on Friday and Monday. On Friday, Viaplay analysts will gather together with experts from the motorsport world for the preview program ‘F1 Shakedown’. After the eventful race weekends, Amber Brantsen looks back on all the action on and off the track with special guests on Monday with special guests in the talk show ‘F1 Track Talk’.
