Battery-operated comfort bubble

Mercedes now also comes with an electric Maybach. The starting point is the Mercedes EQS SUV, but it has been further refined and equipped with even more luxury. And of course the technology has also been taken to a higher level, for matching performance.
Maybach EQS SUV a modest star?
A large star in the area between the headlights is missing: externally, the electric Maybach EQS SUV differs from the regular EQS SUV, among other things, due to the modest Mercedes star that stands proudly on the nose. Luminous running boards are not missing and for a small 20 mille you have it in two-tone paint. But fortunately it has not become as extreme as the concept car from 2021.
Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS SUV: electric comfort bubble.
Comfort in the superlative
In the back of the Maycbach EQS SUV you will not find a sofa, but two first class seats. Together with the refrigerator (lukewarm champagne, you shouldn’t think about it), they eat more than 200 liters from the luggage compartment, leaving 440 liters; this seems the only concession to absolute opulence. There is no frunk for some extra luggage space (for example to separate a wet charging cable from your clean stuff) in the nose. That frunk would be too high and too far back so that you can come up against the wet nose of the car with your neat clothes. According to the Mercedes people, it is not excluded that there will be a frunk for future models. The air-suspended chassis (with an extra Maybach comfort mode), the sound insulation that has been implemented to the maximum (including by means of a thick parcel shelf), the regulation of interior air quality or the generous use of wood and leather, really seem to have pulled out all the stops to make you feel at home. to be able to extract this electro-cocoon from the gray. To make electric driving as environmentally friendly as possible, the leather is tanned on a vegetable basis with a liquid from coffee bean shells.
Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS SUV: 685 hp and 950 Nm.
Tree uprooting couple
The propulsion of the four-wheel drive Maybach EQS 680 SUV – as it is called in full – is provided by two electric motors that together produce 658 hp and 950 Nm. And that is slightly more than the Mercedes EQS 580 SUV that ‘only’ has 544 hp and 858 Nm. A capacity is not yet stated, but the battery is larger than with the regular EQS 580 SUV and if that battery is full, you should be able to travel up to 600 km with the first electric Maybach, according to WLTP.
